CARE & USE
CLEAN UP. DRY OUT. GO AGAIN.
A few simple habits help keep the silicone surface clean and the interior ready for its next use.
After everyday use.
Allow gloves and handled items to cool. Wash the silicone exterior with mild dish soap and warm water, rinse away residue, and let the gloves air-dry. Boiling water is not necessary for routine cleaning.
Insulated: care for the cloth inside.
Keep the liner dry during use. For machine washing, use only the cycle and detergent specified on your HILT care label. Dry the interior completely before storing, and avoid pulling the liner out of a tightly fitted glove.
Unlined: rinse both sides.
With no cloth liner, the silicone interior can be cleaned along with the exterior. Rinse thoroughly and leave the cuff open until dry. Machine-wash instructions for this version are not yet confirmed.
Comfort: instructions pending.
The third lining’s composition is still being finalized. Its care requirements and protection specifications will be added once confirmed.
Check before each use.
Look for tears, punctures, damaged seams or trim, and changes in the lining. Stop using a damaged glove for protective tasks. Avoid sharp edges and chemicals unless the final label specifically permits that exposure.
Heat has limits.
Only the matching insulated construction carries the supplier’s 250°C / brief 350°C guidance. Do not grip glowing coals or briquettes, remain in open flame, or use these figures as permission for welding or molten-glass handling. Do not use a wet liner for heat protection.
Keep liquids below the cuff.
A waterproof silicone shell is not a sealed sleeve. Water, oil, or hot liquid can enter through the open cuff. Keep the opening above the liquid level; do not immerse your hands in boiling liquids.
